Vivemos atualmente no na era da tecnologia. O mundo passou por grande desenvolvimento e transformação tecnológica nos últimos 50 (cinquenta) anos, onde muita coisa foi modificada na vida dos seres humanos. A tecnologia causou mudanças significativas em nossas vidas, pois ela está presente em praticamente todos os processos da vida do ser humano: a tecnologia está nas escolas, está nos escritórios, está no campo nas lavouras e na produção de alimentos e etc.. A tecnologia oferece para as pessoas: mais agilidade, conforto e eficiência na realização dos processos. Com o advento da tecnologia muitos processos foram modificados na vida do ser humano: as comunicações (advento do telefone, do telefone celular, dos computadores, etc.), as atividades realizadas em casa (lavar roupas, lavar louças, cozinhar, etc.), o ensino nas escolas e faculdades (implantação do computador, do tablet, por exemplo), no entretenimento (desenvolvimento da televisão, aparelhos de som, computadores.), na indústria (surgimento de máquinas que intensificam a produção), nos negócios (aparelhos que facilitam a comunicação)
O avanço tecnológico exige que as pessoas façam a sua adesão aos processos mesmo que involuntariamente, pois o avanço tecnológico gerou a aceleração de processos, o que resulta em ganho real de tempo. Os aparelhos tecnológicos são considerados essenciais para as pessoas, passando a ser utilitários do nosso dia a dia, tirando aquela antiga visão que era um luxo ter esses aparelhos em sua residência. Por isso, quem faz uso de processos defasados tecnológicos, principalmente as empresas, ficam fadadas ao fracasso, pois estarão competindo com ferramentas diferentes, o que gera perda de tempo, e no mundo capitalista em que vivemos, tempo é dinheiro. A tecnologia está ajudando bastante os seres humanos, pois a tecnologia vem dando oportunidades de novos campos de trabalho, porém para aquelas pessoas que não possuem o nível de estudo adequado, a tecnologia pode se tornar algo negativo, pois devido ao desenvolvimento de maquinas e equipamentos modernos para desenvolver alguns tipos de atividades, a mão de obra está sendo gradativamente substituída.ão – exemplo: realização de conferências com pessoas em locais diferentes).
